Thompson MIS Wins Spine Care 2011 Award
Chicago, IL, FOR RELEASE NOVEMBER 7TH, 2011-‐ Thompson MIS is pleased to announce its BoneBac™ Press autograft collection system has received a “Best New Technology for Spine Care in 2011” award by Orthopedics This Week. The award was presented to the company during the annual meeting of the North American Spine Society.
The reusable BoneBac™ Press is a patented system that enables surgeons to more effectively utilize local autograft bone for use in fusion and reconstructive procedures. Graft shavings created during decompression that would normally be discarded are captured and separated from excess fluids. It produces a condensed puck of autograft with ideal handling characteristics. The BoneBac™ Press is an element of the BoneBac™ System, which was developed to simplify minimally invasive spine surgery and reduce procedure costs.
Orthopedics This Week and RRY Publications present the Spine Technology Awards event at an annual gala intended to raise awareness of innovative technologies and their development teams. An independent panel of distinguished surgeons judges the technologies.
