Thompson Retractor Foundation

"Our mission is to provide surgeons, who volunteer their services around the world to the less privileged, with the instruments that make life saving operations possible."

Thompson Surgical Instruments understands this need and we are pleased to donate Thompson Retractors to these dedicated men and women.

Health care providers who work with patients in Third World countries, including missionary surgeons and those employed by community hospitals, are called on to perform complex surgeries in challenging environments with limited resources.

When you upgrade your old Thompson Retractor System to a new model, we refurbish the old equipment and prepare it for shipping to hospitals in need. We believe in assisting hospitals around the globe by donating refurbished Thompson Retractors, to make modern surgery available. Thompson Retractor Foundation has made donations to missionary surgeons working at the following missionary organizations and hospitals:

Thompson Surgical Instruments cares about the environment.
Here’s how we’re reducing our carbon footprint:

• All scrap metal including stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium is recycled
• Paper, plastic, cardboard, and cans are all recycled
• Our offices have eliminated disposable cups, plates, napkins, etc. and now promotes reusable utensils
• Electronic documents are favored over printed documents to help reduce the amount of paper used
• An energy efficient lighting system that is pre-programmed to shut off when the building isn’t occupied has been installed
• Energy efficient appliances such as furnaces, air conditioning, and make-up air system are all utilized
